Megan's New Bicycle

Megan has way outgrown her tricycle. This made her very sad. So she asked for a bicycle. With no birthday or Christmas coming up, I just couldn't justify spending the money right now. But, she did have $55 left from her birthday money. She was more than willing to part with it for a bike. So we went last Friday and picked out a new bike that she bought with her own money (with a couple extra dollars thrown in by mom & dad). She also purchased a matching helmet with her gift card from Camille that she still had from Christmas (with a few extra dollars thrown in by mom & dad, again). She is so excited about it. It is a pretty purple bike with princesses on it, of course, pretty little streamers on the handles, and a cute little pouch with water bottle on the front. When she was showing her friend Parker her new bike, his comment was, "I knew it would have princesses on it." Then he rolled his eyes. He's such a cute kid. She has gone over to Parker's twice already to ride. She will be a bike riding pro in no time! (Pictures coming soon!)

Cake for Baby Shower

Our normal "cake lady" at church was out of town this weekend. They needed someone to make a cake, and since I have made a couple recently, I got volunteered. It was a baseball theme, and the mama wanted cupcakes. I made 24 of the cutest little baseball cupcakes and a very cool baseball bat cake! I will see if I can get a picture of them and get them posted. I had icing from one side of my kitchen all the way through to the dining room, but it all turned out well. As I was cleaning up afterwards, I put all of my decorating tips in the mixing bowl to soak. Well, when I was loading the dishwasher I forgot about them......until I turned on my garbage disposal. Needless to say, I don't have any tips now. :( I guess that means I don't have to do any more cakes, right?

Sick Again

We have all been better for almost a week, then Bethany woke up at 5:30 this morning throwing up. I thought we were done with that for a while. She is doing much better this afternoon. She has kept down a few bites of food and is back to fighting with Megan. I guess she will be back to normal soon.

Another Sick Baby!

I got Bethany well and now Megan has come down with it! Grrrrrrrr..... Hopefully Megan will get over it as quickly as Bethany did. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that James and I stay well.

Sick baby!

Bethany was so sick yesterday. She ran a 102 fever (without Motrin) and could not keep any food down. She is all better today. I guess it was just a 24 hour bug. Pray that the rest of us escape it! Hope you all had a healthy, safe, and happy Valentine's Day.

Fish

We finally got Megan her fish that we promised for her birthday. We have had them since Tuesday, and dare I say it..... so far, so good. We got her the fish tank for her birthday and she has been begging for the fish ever since. We went and got all of the rocks, cave, water "purifier, net, food, etc. Plus two little gold fish. She promptly named them Cinderella and Belle. Cinderella is orange with white fins and tail, and Belle is a gold color. We gently told her that goldfish do not live forever, so she now checks first thing every morning to see if they are alive. :)

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

Once again I goofed and somehow the pictures did not upload for Megan's birthday, but I think they should be there now. Since I am just now getting them on here I thought I would throw in a couple more from the day. These are of the girls with Tom's (our preacher) lion rug that he finally got from his hunting trip to Africa. It is very cool!

Bethany's First Haircut

Much to her father's dismay, I went and got Bethany's hair cut last Friday (Feb 2). It just needed to be shaped up so that it would match all the way around. Here are the before during and after pics. Hope you all had a good weekend. Will post about ours later. Love you all! ~Amanda
