Fishing
There is always lots of fishing to be done at our family reunion. This year was no exception. The kids love to go out with Grandpa on his boat. They don't always get to go. This sometimes leads to a few broken hearts, but they are mended again when it is their turn to go with Grandpa. Here's how it went for Megan this year.

"I wanted to go fishing with Grandpa."

"Going fishin' with my Grandpa."

"I don't like them."

My Parents

Here are my parents on their wedding day 37 years and 1 day ago (yes I stole it off the Isbell Blog). Aren't they cute? I have always enjoyed looking at my parent's wedding album. I have also always envied that cake! I wanted one just like it when I was growing up. Of course when I got married I decided on something different, and a little smaller. My cake was beautiful, but their cake has always amazed me! Congrats on 37 years Mom and Dad! Best wishes for LOTS more! I love you both tremendously!
Last Day of School
Megan is done with Kindergarten! Can you believe it? Seems like just yesterday I was crying as I walked home from leaving her for the first time. Today I cried all the way home for different reasons. On the one hand she has finished Kindergarten and has closed a very important chapter of her little life. On the other hand she is going to the first grade and beginning a whole new chapter. As with all other stages of childhood, it's sad to see this stage end but exciting to see the next one begin to unfold! Megan has had a rough Kindergarten year. She started out in Plano at Forman Elementary with Mrs. Wills. Then we moved to Bartlesville and put her in Nowata Schools where she had Mrs. Collier. She had to leave all her friends behind. We moved to Nowata during Spring Break. She has endured it all and kept a smile on her face. She has learned SOOO much this year. She can now read and write and do some math. She is a SUPER reader and reads anything she can get her hands on. I will miss her teacher and the teacher's aide. I will miss taking her to class every day. I will miss her class and their cute little faces. It has been a fun first year in school. I can't wait to see what next year will bring!

Stuck in the Stone Ages
I decided today was the day to add some photos to my blog. I got a new camera for Christmas and finally got a memory card for it. So I have been snapping away and getting lots of great stuff to share with all of you. I sat down to add the new software to my computer to upload the pictures. OOPS! "You can't do that. Our software doesn't support your old operating system." That's not what it said, but that's the what it really meant. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Now I am going to have to load them on James' laptop, save them on the internet, then work with them from this computer. What a PAIN!
I did get a songlist playing on here. I would have like to add it to the sidebar, but it was too wide and moved everything on the sidebar to the bottom. So, it is at the bottom for now. Anyone know how to make it fit on the side?

April 14?
Was that really the last time I updated? Wow! I guess time flies when you're having fun, plus working, taking kids to school, volunteering at school, cleaning the house, washing clothes, etc etc etc... We are all doing fine. School is winding down, only 4 days left!!!!!!!!!! I am really looking forward to this summer and having Megan home with me.
I've got so much to say and so little time. I would like to give the blog a new look. May have to have some help from Amy for that. I am not good at that sort of thing, but I know my blog looks (and is)a little boring. I have lots of pictures to share. I need James to show me how to do all of that with my new camera. Please keep checking back. I will be updating and making lots of changes! Love you all! AK
